Matt McDonell's Tech Portfolio

Here are some great resources, tools, and organizational matrices that I used this year to teach Physics at Mission High School.
Tools: In Physics, pictures are worth a thousand words... literally! A good diagram, chart, or image can communicate a concept clearly and immediately in ways that pages of text could never hope to (assuming the students can stay awake long enough to read it all!). This page highlights some great tools that can make physics more accessible.
Resources: There are better ways to find information than Google! Here are some resources for finding information that are smarter and more useful than the search engines that most students default to.
Standards: You can get multiple doctoral degrees in Physics... how does one decide what to put into a high school physics course? And what kind of technology is appropriate? Well, the state department of education has created standards to guide us in this; check them out!
Reflection: So, how has it been integrating technology into the physics classes at Mission? This page captures my thoughts so far...
